About Us

At the Charles A. Bernazzani School, we focus on nurturing young minds and providing them with a solid foundation in essential skills. We believe in creating an environment that fosters excellence in education. Our dedicated team is committed to fulfilling the goals set by the Quincy Public Schools and we strive to educate our students to become self-fulfilled individuals, responsible citizens, and capable workers.

Established in 1955 as the Furnace Brook School (named after the old Blast Furnace in West Quincy), our school stands on Massachusetts DCR property that was once farmland and the Stony Brae Golf Course. In 1989, the school was renamed the Charles A. Bernazzani School in honor of a popular principal after his untimely passing.

We embrace the mission statement developed by the Massachusetts Board of Education as part of the Education Reform Act. Our aim is to equip each child with the values, knowledge, and skills necessary to reach their full potential personally and professionally. We also encourage our students to actively contribute to the civic and economic life of our diverse and ever-changing democratic society.
