6.24.2022 End of School Year Message
Posted on 06/24/2022

Dear Quincy Public Schools Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

As this school year comes to a close, we want to say how thankful we are for the many positive achievements and outcomes for Quincy Public Schools during this past year.  While the year began with uncertainty, thanks to the dedication and collaboration of our administrators and staff, the  return to in-person schooling was accomplished safely.  Over the course of the school year, we were able to strengthen relationships with students and families, successfully re-engage students           academically, and restore many in-person events,  culminating with the graduation of the Class of 2022 before hundreds of family and friends at Veterans Memorial Stadium earlier this month.  We are so grateful for Mayor Koch and City of Quincy departments including Health, Public Works, Natural Resources, Police, and Fire Departments for their support throughout the year.

Most recently, thanks to the collaboration of Mayor Koch, the Quincy City Council, and the Quincy School Committee, Quincy Public Schools has been funded for the 2022-2023 school year through a generous appropriation that provides level services in all areas, retains our favorable class sizes, and allows for growth for Career Vocational Technical Education programs, English Learners, Special Education, and Social-Emotional Learning programs.  Summer programs will begin the week of July 4 and confirmation emails have been sent out to the families of participating students.

We wish you a safe and relaxing summer with your family and friends and look forward to welcoming you back for the new school year on September 7, 2022.

Sincerely,

Kevin W. Mulvey

Superintendent of Schools
