It was a big day today: we hosted our first-ever Future Educator Signing Day ceremonies at QHS and NQHS!

Through the two events, we celebrated 16 graduating seniors who have committed to pursuing careers in education. We thank our high school principals, Mr. Ford and Mr. Gilbert, our district administrators, our Early Childhood and Care teachers, Ms. Ells and Mr. Fotter, and Mayor Thomas P. Koch for their presence and for making these two ceremonies such a success.

Making the ceremonies truly special was the presence of QPS educators who had played a pivotal role in influencing our students’ career aspirations. Our students shared their future plans and expressed gratitude for the mentors who have helped to shape their paths. As you might imagine, emotions ran high as we celebrated the impact of each of these educators on our students’ lives!

Congratulations to the members of the Class of 2024 who have committed to careers in education:

QHS: Oscar Castro Feliz, Emily Chin, Grace Connor, Helena Galvani, Makayla Gustafson, Angelene Jadormeo, Paige Mann, Madisen McCarthy, Shea McSweeney, and Tuya Valle

NQHS: Emma Bille, Casey Kelly, Sophie Shaw, Madeline Smith, Lina Wang, and Meera Watkins

This was a significant milestone for the district and we hope this becomes an annual tradition, celebrating and supporting the next generation of school educators and leaders!
