Quincy's Food Waste Diversion Program seeks dedicated volunteers to be part of our program that is reducing our city's carbon footprint and saving thousands of pounds of food from going to waste. Our mission is to introduce and successfully manage food waste diversion in each and every school within the Quincy public school system.
We seek volunteers to staff lunch shifts at both Quincy high schools. Volunteers will educate and encourage students to sort their waste responsibly, helping our students understand the importance of diverting food waste from landfills and how small changes can make a big impact.
We value the safety of our students and volunteers, which is why all volunteers must successfully complete a background check before starting their work in the school buildings.
