It was another “All-Star” kind of day at Veterans Memorial Stadium! To wrap up this year’s “All-Star Program,” sponsored by the Arbella Foundation and the Boston Celtics, we honored students from all five of our middle schools for consistently meeting the program criteria for the year! This may have been through perfect attendance or through participating in the program’s art and writing contest.
Students enjoyed bouncy houses, lawn games, sports, gaming trucks, visits with and autographs from former Celtics point guard Dana Barros, stunts by the Celtics’ mascot, Lucky, a dance clinic with the Celtics’ dance squad, and a basketball clinic with Celtics staff.
We extend our thanks to the many volunteers from Arbella, who assisted with today’s events and cheered on our students, as well as our special guests from the Celtics organization!
