Per Massachusetts Student Record Regulations (603 CMR 23.06), Quincy Public Schools (QPS) intends to destroy the Special Education records of students who graduated, transferred, or withdrew from QPS on or before June 30, 2017.
In accordance with state and federal laws, QPS preserves these records for seven years after the conclusion of Special Education services, at which point they are destroyed. These records may be useful to students or their parents/guardians for Social Security benefits or other purposes.
Parents, guardians, or eligible students may obtain these Special Education records by contacting Neisa Fratolillo at 617-984-8742 by June 24 , 2024.
The destruction of unclaimed records will commence on June 25, 2024, and no records older than 7 years will be available after this date.
