This year's 'Tis the Season...Symphony and Song was a true holiday spectactular. From the joyous performances by our friends at Quincy Symphony Orchestra (QSO) under the direction of Yoichi Udagawa and special guest Renese King, to the beloved "Merry Minstrels" (our QPS music teachers); from the "Choralography" by our high school combined choirs to our student instrumentalists in the John Adams Orchestra, the entire evening was a special one.
We thank City of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch for sponsoring this event yet again this year and we thank our friends at the QSO for sharing their talents with both the audience and with our student performers.
We send special thanks to Renese King, who brought the house down with her vocals, to the QPS music department and our student vocalists and instrumentalists, and to our surprise guest conductor, Soren Hickman, a Broad Meadows 8th grade saxophonist in the Citywide Jazz Band and Select Symphonic Middle School Band!
